Irish Water announces the ‘Preferred Scheme’ to provide essential new water source for 40% of the population

Irish Water has published the ‘Final Options Appraisal Report’ which identifies the Preferred Scheme for a new source of water supply for its Eastern and Midlands Region. The Water Supply Project will deliver secure and sustainable water for over 40% of the country’s population up to 2050.

Council achieves ISO 50001 accreditation for Energy Management

Cathaoirleach Cllr. Terence Slowey has announced that Donegal County Council has achieved ISO 50001accreditation for it’s Energy Management System.  The announcement was made at the SECURE launch conference which was held in the Glenveagh Visitors Centre.
